Background InformationHello! I'm happy to be returning to the Sullivan County School District for my 19th year and can't wait to meet everyone. I'd like to tell you a little about myself as an educator.
I graduated from Penn State in 1997 with a degree in Elementary and Kindergarten Education. Since then I've had a various amount of experience in many school settings. During the 2005-2006 school year, I completed Reading Recovery training. From the 2005/2006 school year through the 2010/2011 school year, I was one of the Title I reading teachers at Turnpike Elementary School. In August 2008, I earned my Master's degree in Educational Development and Strategies from Wilkes University. With the closure of Turnpike and the move to the Sullivan County Elementary School, I started teaching 5th and 6th grade reading during the 2011/2012 school year. Most recently, I was assigned to teach third grade. I'm looking forward to a new adventure with the third graders.

If your child is absent, you will be able to check the site for an idea of what we accomplished during the day and what homework was assigned. Please keep in mind the posts may be a little different than what was actually covered in class. The homework assignments may be a little ahead or behind since it is hard to anticipate the rate of student learning. Have your child log in to his or her Google account and go to our ELA, Science, and Social Studies Google Classrooms for more lessons, assignments, and some materials.
