I am so excited about being your teacher this year.  I look forward to seeing your smiling faces and getting to know each and every one of you. Communication is THE most important key for our room to run smoothly.  I encourage each of you to contact me immediately with comments, questions, or concerns should they arise.

 

I have my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education K-6, Certifications in General Science, and Earth/Space Science both 7-12.  These were received from Mansfield University.    I also have my Master's Degree from Wilkes University. Kids are my joy and I love teaching.  I taught middle school science for fifteen years and have taught science, English, and writing for the last eight years.  

 

    I moved from Philadelphia to Sullivan County when I was going into 10th grade, graduated from SCHS, and haven't strayed too far from this BEAUTIFUL County.  I have lived in Forksville, Muncy Valley (near Laporte), Muncy, Hughesville, and Muncy Valley (near Eaglesmere) and now reside outside of Laporte.   I don't plan on EVER moving again.   

 

     My daughter Emily just left for her sophomore year of college and my son, Elisha, is entering 12th grade.  I have one dog, two cats, two snakes, and one turtle. During the summers, I work at the Eagles Mere Conservancy.  You should come to see me and do some fun activities.  This way, you see me all year long.  Woot! Woot!

 

Personal Activities- I love the outdoors, music (listening, guitar, piano, and singing), diamond dotting, scrapbooking, taking pictures, and spending time with my family.  Recently, I learned the joy of making baskets and mosaics.
