    Why study social studies?
To make students ready for the world of tomorrow, students need to understand how history, geography, economics, psychology, and democracy impact their daily lives.

The Social Studies are the tools that help students create an understanding of the role society, the government, and the world take in their lives. It is essential that students learn these lessons of social studies to be prepared for the world of tomorrow.

The vision of the Social Studies Department at SCHS is to provide students with a glimpse of the future through the study of the past and present.
