CHIP Information Available

The Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provides quality, comprehensive health insurance (doctor visits, dental, prescriptions, and eye care) for uninsured children and teens up to age 19. For many families, CHIP is free - for others, it is low cost.  CHIP is pleased to partner with school districts in helping families find health insurance coverage.  Schools are a valuable partner in this effort.  After all, healthy kids are better students.

Act 153 requires that each commonwealth school district provide a CHIP notice to the parent or guardian of each student enrolled in the district during the school year.   A CHIP flyer will be available for students to take home at the beginning of the of the 2022-2023 school year.  You can view the flyer at this link: Chip Flyer and Chip Flyer (spanish)

For more information, please visit www.CHIPcoversPAkids.com and click on “CHIP Resources” for Community Resources.  You can sign up, log-in and find the flyer and a variety of other CHIP materials.
