As we prepare for Pennsylvania’s statewide cell phone requirements taking effect in 2027–2028, we are introducing updated high school expectations this year to help students build consistent habits and make the transition smoother.

Students may have their phones:

• Before the first bell

• During lunch

• After the last bell

At all other times, phones should be stored in students’ lockers. Locker locks will be provided to all high school students. Exceptions for documented medical or health-related needs will apply, consistent with district policy and approved by the building administration as appropriate.

We will use a consistent, schoolwide process for addressing violations, with offenses tracked per student rather than by individual class. 

Our goal is to create a focused learning environment while giving students, families, and staff time to adjust to the expectations coming statewide. Thank you for your partnership and support as we work together to set our students up for success!
