Wow... my 26th year of teaching is upon me. I'm back to where I started my career and couldn't be happier. Although I enjoyed nine years of my career in Elementary school, I am so excited to be back teaching in Middle School. You know what that means? I have taught many of you and am honored to continue teaching your children. Don't forget that communication is THE most important key for our room to run smoothly. I encourage each of you to contact me immediately with comments, questions, or concerns should they arise. We will be using Class DOJO, so be on the lookout for an invite.
About Me.....
Career:
I have my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education K-6, Certifications in General Science, and Earth/Space Science, both 7-12. These were received from Mansfield University. I also have my Master's Degree from Wilkes University. Kids are my jo,y and I love teaching. I also love singing in class and adding to students' playlists.
Personal Info:
I moved from Philadelphia to Sullivan County when I was going into 10th grade, graduated from SCHS, and haven't strayed too far from this BEAUTIFUL County. I have lived in Forksville, Muncy Valley (near Laporte), Muncy, Hughesville, and Muncy Valley (near Eaglesmere), and now reside outside of Laporte. I don't plan on EVER moving again.
Both of my children, Emily and Eli, have graduated from high school and are out in the workforce. I have one dog (Finnick O'Dare), three cats (Milo, Cleocatra, and Floki), two snakes (CC and Newton), and one turtle ( Copernicus). During the summers, I work at the Eagles Mere Conservancy. I just finished my 7th summer there. You should come/come back to see me and do some fun activities. This way, you see me all year long. Woot! Woot!
Activities:
I love the outdoors, music (listening, guitar, piano, and singing), diamond dotting, basket making and mosaics, scrapbooking, taking pictures, and spending time with my family. Recently, I learned the joy of crocheting WOOBLES. I have a menagerie of them for my classroom.
