High School Learning Support Math Teacher
Hello STUDENTS and PARENTS!!!
I'm so excited for this school year and my adventure at the High School for the second year!. I can not wait to to see former Elementary and High School students and their smiling faces.
Personal Information:
This is Mr. Heisman's twenty-first year teaching for the Sullivan County School District. This is his first year teaching at the high school. He also taught for six years as a Learning Support teacher for the Lake-Lehman School District. Mr. Heisman is married and lives in Sayre. He has an extended family of 5 children and is extremely proud of them all. Jade is married and is working as a nurse at UPMC -Williamsport Hospital. Jade had a baby girl named Haisley and made Mr. Heisman a POPS! Shelby is married and works as a Phlebotomist in Florida. Kadyn is currently working at the Lycoming County Courthouse for a judge and is to be married this August 23rd. Trevor is working at the BSU at the Guthrie as well as attending BOCES in NY and Alex is on his second year at Bloomsburg for finance.
Mr. Heisman is the softball coach for our Lady Griffins since 2010. In 2018, the Lady Griffins had an awesome season, with a silver in District 4 and went to Penn State University to face off against Claysburg, and both of these accomplishments broke records for our school. Sullivan finished the regular season at 15-4 and post at 16-6, also taking the league title. Last year's team represented Sullivan at districts in the Semi Finals against Northeast Bradford(1-4), unfortunately we did not advance against the team who came in second in the State Championship. Overall, Sullivan finished great in the regular season having a 12-5 record.
Mr. Heisman can also be found working down at Lake Mokoma all summer long as their Manager. We are not sure if he is truly working or catching a few rays!
