Science & Social Studies - Grades K-3
SCES uses an integrated curriculum to embed science and social studies content within other subjects. This approach weaves these subjects into core areas like reading, writing, and math, making learning more holistic and interconnected.
This method helps students see the relevance of what they're learning by showing how subjects are connected in the real world. Instead of learning facts in isolation, they see how science, social studies, and other subjects are all part of a larger picture. It also promotes deeper understanding and critical thinking, as students must apply knowledge from various fields to solve problems or complete tasks.
