2024-2025 Athlete of the Week

The Athletic Department would like to congratulate varsity athletes that have gone above and beyond to support their team. This includes but not limited to: acts of sportsmanship, positive attitudes, outstanding statistics, personal improvement, and more.

2024-2025 Athlete of the Week

5/25/25 Emilia Viveiros

Emilia recently took the team to the Semi-Final round of District Playoffs as our starting pitcher for the past three years. She had 6 strikeouts and only one walk. She earned our second win against Muncy 10-2 this past week in which she pitched back-to-back against Muncy and Sayre.  She proved to all of us that she was able to handle the pressure when she pitched ten innings this season leading into an international tie breaker with Bucktail.  Emilia is a dedicated player and always has been, she puts in a lot of time and effort to her pitching. Her batting in both of those games led to an on base percentage of a .483 and a .473 in which the double she had vs Muncy led to three runs giving Sullivan the lead and momentum to ultimately win the game.  Emilia has 87strikeouts for the season and has 267 for her career with a win loss record of 31-18.    She is planning to play at the college level when she graduates next year.

Brian Heisman- Varsity Softball Head Coach

A Senior, a Captain, a Starter for the past four years, and to add to her resume an outstanding Center Fielder who just made a diving catch on a shallow ball vs Millville.  Amber had been working on a play like this for the past few weeks.  It all paid off when she did it in the 7th inning of the game, giving Millville their second out.  Amber has had a terrific week overall defensively and offensively.  She was flawless in the outfield and had a batting average of .556.  Her on base percentage was a .667. Miley is always cheery and has helped the team in many ways. The most recent way was to help tie the score with Muncy.  She put a well-placed ball in right field along the foul line, when the fielder dropped it and brought us in 3 runs. Her hit allowed Sullivan to ultimately beat Muncy, 5-4, for the first time since 2018.
