This will be my 20th year teaching. It is my first year teaching at Sullivan County. I teach grades 7-12 in Technology Education.

9th Grade Technology Education: This is a project-oriented course that allows students to further explore the use of materials, tools and machines to create useful items. The main goal of the course is to familiarize students with common machine operation and shop safety practices. Students will use basic tools as well as machinery such as the planer, jointer, table saw, miter saw, radial arm saw, band saw, CNC router, router table, CNC plasma, foundry, forge, welders, oxy-acetylene torch, sheet metal fab. tools, drill press, 3Dprinter, V-Carve and SolidWorks. Students will spend 1 semester in the metal shop and 1 semester in the wood shop. | |
Manufacturing and Construction: This course provides students the opportunity to further explore technology through individualized instruction and independent projects with a focus in the wood shop area of the SCHS facility. Students will have the opportunity Project type and skill level is determined on an individual basis between the student and the instructor based off of the student interest and future career goals. | |
Seventh Grade STEAM: A STEAM class is a learning environment that integrates the arts into the traditional STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education model. The class is inquiry based where students will participate in learning through hands-on activities. | |
