Meet Samantha Kahler — Superintendent of Sullivan County School District

The Sullivan County School District proudly welcomes Samantha Kahler as its new Superintendent. A passionate and experienced educator, Ms. Kahler is committed to fostering academic excellence, equity, and a supportive learning environment for all students.

Ms. Kahler brings a wealth of experience and a proven record of success to her new role. She most recently served as the Principal of Sullivan County Elementary School for the past four years, where she led a thriving learning community of more than 300 students and nearly 40 dedicated faculty and staff. Under her leadership, the school implemented key initiatives such as School Wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) and data-driven instructional practices, significantly enhancing student outcomes and school climate.

Throughout her career, Ms. Kahler has championed collaboration between schools, families, and the broader community. She played a key role in shaping the district’s long-term vision through the development of comprehensive plans and worked closely with local agencies to support student well-being.

Ms. Kahler’s educational background is both impressive and well-aligned with her new responsibilities. She is completing her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University, in addition to two master’s degrees focused on educational leadership and instructional strategies and a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She has successfully completed all requirements, including her superintendent internship and certification eligibility, and is fully qualified to serve as Superintendent.

Recognized for her approachable leadership style, data-informed decision-making, and dedication to student success, Ms. Kahler looks forward to partnering with families, staff, and community members to continue advancing the district’s mission.
